History of Haunting:

* Most of the typical symptoms of a haunting have been experienced at this location including, feelings as though they are being watched, electrical failures, hot spots, they find doors unlocked, felt the waterbed vibrate and previous renters reported the shower turning on by itself.
* Television turns on by itself at odd hours during the night, and mysteriously end up on a Spanish speaking channel…even though no one in the residence is Spanish. The TV would also scan channels by itself.
* Mysterious charges have been rung up on the POS system when no cashier is at the register.
* Owner’s cell phone has gone off with no one at the other end.
* Noises are keeping the upstairs tenants from sleep.
* The sound of wind-chimes, even though there are no wind-chimes on the property.
* A man and a small child has been seen walking between the business and the shed and then vanish.
* The Owner has heard a voice calling “Nana” which sounded like it was just around the corner, but the granddaughter was upstairs.(a resident has witnessed this too).
* Halloween 2005, a motion sensor decoration would continue to go off for no reason while hanging in the center of the business.
* Another employee stated that she saw a shadow go towards the interior stairs, and this was seen several times.
* Owner’s personal computer would type all by itself.
* One of the residents is sensitive and has communicated with spirits his entire life has experienced the sound of the ceiling fans on, but they were not.
* Experienced temperatures rising in the apartment and has to keep adjusting the thermostat.
* Seen cereal boxes on top of the fridge shaking for no reason.
* Seen a shadow come into the bedroom very fast and go through the closed door that leads downstairs.
* One of the residents was in the laundry room doing laundry, which is off of the master bedroom. The door has a handle, not a knob. The door does not have a lock on it. The door closed by itself, when he tried to open the door, the door would not budge as if someone were holding it closed on the other side of the door. Right before deciding to go out through a window he tried the door one more time and it opened as if there was never a problem.
* One of the residents has seen an old man spirit downstairs. The spirit acknowledges him but won’t speak to him. He does hear the spirit speaking to customers about their health problems. This man is hunched over, walks with a cane and is wearing a plaid vest.

Personal Experiences:
* During the set up, while upstairs, Toni had a sensation of major sharp stabbing pains in the left side of her chest, she then felt like she was breathing through a mouth full of water, similar to a drowning feeling. At the time Toni did have a cold, but the cold was in the nasal area and not in her chest, and felt that the two were not related. When she got her breath back she was immediately hit with a series of emotions like she had done something wrong. She then felt drawn to the attic crawl space. As she looked in she felt like someone was looking back at me and was surrounded by a smell of something rotting, like rotting tomatoes.
* 12:25am Stacy and Toni heard the sound of what appeared to be shuffling feet.
* 12:48am Lori and Stacy were watching the DVR, Stacy’s right arm went cold and the hairs on the back of her neck stood up. It happened again at 12:49 AM… The coldness went away on Stacy’s arm at 12:51 AM. Stacy also felt as if someone was touching her hair very lightly. This was also about the time that Toni, Sprout and Scott were upstairs to do EVP’s and check temperatures. Toni heard what sounded to be water dripping, she checked the shower as well as the sink and they were both dry. Sprout decided to video the attic crawl space and felt an uncomfortable feeling.
* 12:58am Toni and Lori began investigating in the back of the downstairs. Toni picked up on the name of “Francis” near the cooler wall near the entrance of the kitchen, which is where the sound of the shuffling feet appeared to be coming from earlier. Lori also heard the sound of a man “mumbling” by the coolers.
* 1:03am Scott was upstairs in the apartment and stated that he had 95 minutes of battery life drained from the Hi-8.
* 1:13am We sat down in the upstairs master bedroom for a bit, then moved into the first bedroom and stayed for about 40 minutes or so. During the time we would ask questions. Lori smelled a burning smell, but Stacy and Scott did not. We heard several unexplainable noises, such as a knock on the bottom of the floor that actually vibrated the floor. We also heard a sound of something being picked up and dropped in the attic area. During that time Lori started feeling nauseous. Stacy felt as if someone was touching the side of her face and touching her hair. Scott picks up on a man who liked motorcycles, maybe died on one. Stacy did EVP work with her digital recorder during this period, in which there was so much static that most of it was inaudible.
* 3:00am A machine in the business re-boots itself, there was no electrical surge and that was the only machine that turned off then on again. About that same time, Lori felt freezing cold and couldn’t shake it off for about 15 minutes.
* 3:32am Scott exits the upstairs apartment with a choking sensation.
* 3:40 am – Lori and Stacy hear a noise of something dropping behind the business counter.
* With several EMF spikes noted through out the night. Again a severe spike was encountered in the dormer area. The Tri-field meter was left on the bed in the master bedroom and its alarm went off several times. We are also concerned about how much EMF is coming off the main panel in the business.
* On November 4, 2006, Scott and Sprout did a preliminary investigation, do to all the reported activity… the following were their accounts: They were on the second landing in the interior staircase. They heard a door slam and Sprout thought it was the door they had just came through. Scott said that he had closed the door behind them when they went downstairs. The door has a automatic lock which locked behind them and they had to knock to get the attention of the Owner to open it. She and a resident had also heard the door slam near them on the other side of the apartment and were looking for Scott and Sprout to see if they had done it or heard it.
